Learn how you can use the components from payload.npx.directory.

This license agreement (“License”) is a legal agreement between you (“Licensee”) and payload.npx.directory (“Licensor”) for the use of components, templates, and blocks (“Components”) provided through https://payload.npx.directory.

“Client” or “Clients” refer to individuals or organizations that commission or contract the Licensee to develop an end product using the Components. The Client owns the final end product created for them.

By downloading, accessing, or using the Components, you agree to be bound by the terms of this License.


🧑‍💻 Individual License

This License provides a non-exclusive, non-transferable, worldwide license to use, modify, and distribute the Components as described in this agreement.

This License allows a single person to utilize and access the Components.

✅ Permitted Uses

The Licensee may:

  • Use the Components to develop unlimited end products for unlimited Clients.
  • Modify the Components to create derivative works for personal or commercial use.
  • Distribute the Components as part of a larger end product that is not a direct competitor to the original Components.
  • Sell end products that include the Components, provided the Components are not the primary value of the product.

❌ Restrictions

The Licensee may not:

  • Resell or distribute the Components as standalone items.
  • Offer the Components in a website builder or AI generator-style product.
  • Use the Components to create a product that competes directly with the original Component Library.
  • Share or distribute the Components in a way that allows others to use them without their own license.
  • Incorporate the Components into any website builder, theme builder, or similar tool that enables end users to create their own websites or apps using the Components or their derivatives.

📌 Examples

You may:

  • Create a personal website or application for yourself using the Components.
  • Build custom websites or apps for Clients, where the end product is owned by the Client.
  • Use the Components in web projects where the primary purpose is not reselling or redistributing the Components.

You may not:

  • Publish the Components or derivatives online for public use or download.
  • Create a site builder or AI tool that makes the Components available for selection or use.
  • Construct a UI framework or design kit (Figma, Sketch, etc.) based on the Components for distribution or resale.
  • Produce starter kits, templates, or themes using the Components and distribute them for free or sale.

👥 Team License

This License allows up to 20 people (employees or contractors) within an organization to use the Components.

✅ Permitted Uses

The Licensee may:

  • Use the Components to develop unlimited end products for unlimited Clients.
  • Modify and distribute the Components as part of larger end products.
  • Sell end products that include the Components (as long as they’re not the main value).
  • Build internal tools or websites for their company or Clients.

❌ Restrictions

The Licensee may not:

  • Resell or distribute the Components as standalone assets.
  • Build tools or libraries that compete with the original Component Library.
  • Incorporate the Components into website builders, AI generators, or no-code/low-code platforms.
  • Use the Components in a way that allows end users to access or reuse them directly.
  • Share the Components with team members beyond the 20 user limit without an extended license.

📌 Examples

You may:

  • Use the Components for internal products or client work across a small team.
  • Build an enterprise dashboard, SaaS UI, or CMS-powered site using the Components.

You may not:

  • Create a marketplace template using the Components and offer it for sale.
  • Use the Components in a design system sold to external developers.
  • Use the Components to build a site builder or UI generator for end users.
